Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of soratchen.co.uk and to any order you place with Soratchen. By ordering, you agree to them. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.

You must be 18 or over to place an order. Please use the website only for lawful purposes.

We take care to describe and show our products accurately. Wooden products vary, so small differences in grain, colour and texture can occur and are not faults. Images are a guide and your item may look slightly different.

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include everything you pay: we are not VAT-registered and standard delivery is free. If we spot a pricing mistake, we will contact you before dispatch and you can choose to confirm or cancel the order for a full refund.

After you order, we email you to confirm we have received it. This is not our acceptance. Your contract with us is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. We may decline or cancel an order, for example because of suspected fraud, a pricing or stock error, or a failed payment. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full.

Payment is taken at checkout through secure third-party providers. We do not store your full card details. See our Payment Methods page.

We deliver across the UK. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 4–8 business days in total. These are estimates. See our Shipping Policy.

You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, and we also offer 90-day returns on eligible items. Refunds for 14-day cancellations are made within 14 days of us receiving the goods back or receiving proof that you have sent them back, whichever is sooner. Refunds for 90-day returns are made within 7 business days of us receiving and approving the return. Returns are free: we email you a prepaid return label for every eligible return. Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If they are not, you have the legal remedies set out in our returns page, in addition to anything in these terms.

All content on this website belongs to Soratchen or is used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse it without our written permission.

• Do not introduce viruses or harmful code.
• Do not scrape or copy our content with automated tools without permission.

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable. We do not limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

If we cannot settle it, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice. You may also be able to use an approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, and we will tell you whether we agree to take part in that case.

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home country.

We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place your order are the ones that apply to that order.
